Yogurt Recipe for an Instant Pot

This tried-and-true method of making cold-start yogurt will have you making fewer trips to the store and more trips to your fridge or cooler.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. live culture yogurt
  • 1/2 gallon milk

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 tbsp. Live culture yogurt with 1/4 cup milk and stir well.
  2. Pour the remaining milk into the Instant Pot bowl, which sits inside the pot.
  3. Combine the two, giving it a good stir. Put the lid on the instant pot.
  4. Push the yogurt button. It will say on, beep, and then say 00. Let sit for eight hours.
  5. Open the lid and enjoy your yogurt

Notes

Optional: I like a thicker yogurt, so I strain it through a yogurt strainer. You can also use cheesecloth and a bowl.
