I am learning to live life without limits. Based near Waco, Texas, I am positioned in the best spot to tell you all about what’s happening in the hot spots of Texas.

Pssst… I’m going to tell you a secret though. I have always enjoyed a good road trip and we can’t wait to tell you about all the other wonderful places the US (and the world) have to offer.

Now, I’m here to help you create the adventure of you dreams.

Because you’ve got this!

  • Want to eat out the whole time and stay at funky hotel? I’ve got you!
  • Want to hike and be outdoors, cooking delicious meals yourself? I am here for you too!

So, how do I know all this great stuff about the US? How can I talk about going to the bigger cities and hiking the countryside in search of the best waterfall? Because I am out there doing it. I’m searching for it- putting the legwork in to make it easier on you.

Since becoming an adult, I have visited 38 states and lived in several of them. In 2020, when everyone else was hunkered down, we traveled over six thousand miles in our converted NV1500 van.

While doing this, we had the best of both worlds, making food on our own many nights yet not skimping out on trying new foods for the locations we were in.

As a child, I always watched travel channels, dreaming of the day I would be a photojournalist, traveling the world on someone else’s budget.

When I got my first set of wheels, I felt freedom like never before—driving an hour south with several friends to go to the mall. It wasn’t long before that became a six-hour drive to hang out in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to prepare for college.

And then I met a boy. I married him six months after I met him (the week before I graduated high school). He was equally as adventurous. We lived in seven states during our first ten years of marriage and traveled to many more.

He got a job working for an upholstery shop in Dallas that happened to be on a television show, and we built a beautiful life. I finished my bachelor’s degree and got a job teaching school; we raised our girls.

In November of 2023, everything began to change.

I lost my teaching job for seven years, and they shut the program down. It was heartbreaking. One hundred and two days later, on February 12, 2024, my husband committed suicide while driving down the road towards his job.

For the first time in my life, I wasn’t sure where to go. I had lost so much of my identity in such a short time.

So I did what we did best- I traveled. To Boston and New York City, then to LA to surf and see more than we had the last two times we had been, and then we did a twelve-day trek around the Middle States to see family and celebrate the oldest’s (Nevaeh) birthday.

Finally, home from all the adventures, I started thinking about what I really wanted to do. Now, I have the chance to reinvent myself. So, I returned to that girl who wanted to be a photojournalist. While it may not be the way I had envisioned it,

Here I am- thirty years later- living that dream.
